I’m May, and I play clarinet, tenor sax, and piano. I’m in air cadets, and I go to Sir Winston Churchill Secondary. I also enjoy playing chess competitively in my spare time.

Arthur Zhao
District Co-Director
Hello, World! My name is Arthur Zhao, and I live in White Rock, British Columbia, Canada. I serve as the District Director of the Vancouver Branch. I'm an avid music enthusiast. My current top three artists are AC/DC, Chopin, and the Oscar Peterson Trio (quite the spectrum, I know!). My musical journey began when my mom first introduced me to the piano, and ever since then, I’ve fallen in love with everything music-related. I hold an ABRSM Grade 8 in Piano and a TRINITY Grade 8 in Clarinet. During the pandemic, I taught myself how to play the guitar, and I also play a few other instruments, including bass, drums, and ukulele. I joined Chords of Care because I’m passionate about giving back to the community. Whether through performing or teaching. Music is one of my greatest passions, and being able to bring joy to others through it is truly the best feeling ever. I also joined to connect with new friends, collaborate with other talented musicians, and simply have a great time. Outside of music, I love traveling the world, hanging out with friends, and playing a wide range of sports (swimming, tennis, golf, badminton, ultimate frisbee, just to name a few). I'm also deeply interested in entrepreneurship, running fundraising campaigns, and investing in the stock market. I'm excited for the performances and events ahead with Chords of Care, and I encourage everyone to reach out and get involved. I look forward to meeting more amazing people and sharing incredible experiences through the power of music!

Alex Guo
District Vice-Director
My name is Alex Guo, and I’m from White Rock, BC. Music has been a huge part of my life since I started piano at age four and saxophone at six, and over the years I’ve expanded my passion to include vocals and self-taught guitar. Outside of music, I love road trips, spending time with friends, golfing in the summer, and fencing and skiing in the winter. I’m also a CSIA-certified ski instructor. Alongside my love for sports, I’m fascinated by cars and currently work part-time at a used car dealership. I’m excited to bring my energy, skills, and enthusiasm to serve and support the Chords of Care community.
