Hi everyone! My name is Gloria Wai and I am a grade 9 student living in Burnaby, British Columbia. Music has always had a huge impact on my life, as both my parents play several instruments and my mom is a music teacher. I have been playing piano since I was 3, cello since I was 5, as well as 6 years of violin and 3 years of trombone. I have been apart of over ten different ensembles varying from orchestras, choirs, and bands on different instruments. Outside of making music, I love to dance, swim, do robotics and volunteer. My hobbies (mainly music) have have led me to perform at various festivals, events, schools, and local care homes, which inspired me to join The Chords of Care. Through this organization, I want to give other young, inspiring musicians in the lower mainland a chance to give back to their community and share the joy and life music brings.
